The Tibet Summit Fine Art Café was established in 2005 out of a love for Tibet, its people and their colorful art. Early on as a photographer and artist, owner Doug Wilford was drawn to the American Southwest, its landscape and the native American art. When he discovered Tibet, he found many similarities. It has been said that the American Navajo could in fact be ancient Tibetans who traveled long ago from Asia over the Bering straights into North America.
The Summit Café is an European style café equipped with premium Italian Espresso machines and grinders. We use only the finest 100% Arabica specialty grade coffee beans and imported chocolate to make a wide variety of espresso-based drinks. We also bake from scratch daily a wide selection of baked goods; such as New York Cheese cake, Roman Chocolate Cake, Chocolate Chip pie, varieties of cookies and scones - to name just a few. The Café provides not only the highest quality products but also service. Our Tibetan staff get daily compliments on how friendly and helpful they are.
The Summit Café also is a registered Fine Art Gallery that provides local artists the opportunity to show and sell their art. We show some of the finest oil paintings by artists with international recognition. We also show photography and some of the most amazing Tibetan handicrafts.
